I had a conversation with Sprint’s Account Services and they claim that you can not order the Palm Pre through them. The only place you can get it is at Walmart, Sprint Store, Best Buy or Radioshack. This a true disappointment for those customers that have been classified as Premier customers. Premier customers get first dibs on new phones… With this, that is not the case. The Account Service rep told me that I will have to stand in line to get the phone (lines ha they are really expecting the phone to be hot.. sprint also expect lines for the initial release of instinct.) Of course this phone is more hyped and are expecting a shortage. I guess I will be in line Saturday morning. They better have enough phones to meet initial demand.

ATT takes a shot at Sprints Palm Pre
Many of you may have already seen this (image from precentral.com) but if not AT&T is taking a shots at Sprints Palm Pre claiming it doesn’t come close to what AT&T/Apple iPhone has to offer. Granted AT&T offers many Wi-Fi hotspots and the Apple App store is very established, in the pre’s defense Sprints NOW Network is the fastest network out there. Also most of AT&T’s hotspots are in the large cities, where you are almost guaranteed to have perfect reception to use your carriers network. Hands down Apple App store wins, we just haven’t seen enough from the Pre. Speculations has been high, but frustration is also growing. Let’s all hope the Pre is released byMay 17.
Palm Pre Specs appear on Sprint website
Palm Pre specs have appeared on Sprint’s Palm Pre launch site. Looks like launch is getting closer. Rumor has it launch is March 15 according to BoyGeniusReport.com

Any date on when the pre will be released?

It’s obvious Sprint Reps don’t know what they are talking about. The link they direct you to is the link that lets you sign up for information on the phone when it is released. So then I asked..

Dear Chirag Shah,
Thank you for replying.
It is not possible to preorder the handset Sprint Palm Pre from eCare.
It is only the mentioned link from which you can make order this
handset.
I appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.

Instinct comes to Sprint
Sprint will be launching the Samsung Instinct coming late June. Sprint plans on to compare it to the iPhone and will spend 100 million on promoting the new phone. Sign up here to get detail on the phone when it becomes available. Maybe they are hoping former Sprint users that left for the iPhone will come back when this phone is available.
